China Quality News Network reported that recently, the National Intellectual Property Administration has recognized "Junan Peanuts" as a geographical indication product and implemented protection measures for it.

In recent years, the "Junan Peanuts" industry in Linyi City, Shandong Province has boasted prominent development advantages. It has successively been approved as a Demonstration County for Agricultural Product Processing in Shandong Province, an Advantageous Area for Special Agricultural Products (Peanuts) in Shandong Province, a Special Industrial Cluster for Peanuts in Shandong Province, one of the First Agglomeration Areas for Export Agricultural Products in Shandong Province, one of the First Pilot Counties for High-Quality Development of Agricultural Product Processing Industry in Shandong Province, a National Standardized Demonstration Area for High-Yield, High-Quality and High-Efficiency Peanuts, a National Standardized Production Base for Green Food Raw Materials (Peanuts) Covering an Area of 200,000 Mu, a National Base for the Transformation of Peanut Scientific and Technological Achievements, a National Foreign Trade Transformation and Upgrading Base (Peanuts), a National Advantageous and Special Industrial Cluster (Shandong Big Peanut Industrial Cluster), a Typical County for the Whole Peanut Industry Chain in the Country and more than 10 provincial and national honors.

To further promote the development of the peanut industry in Junan County, increase the share of Junan peanuts in processing, export and trade, and enhance its international competitiveness, Junan County submitted a request to the National Intellectual Property Administration for the protection of "Junan Peanuts" as a geographical indication product.

Through the recognition of the protection of "Junan Peanuts" as a geographical indication product, the product quality of "Junan Peanuts" has been improved, the development of foreign trade has been promoted, the popularity and influence of "Junan Peanuts" products have been expanded, and the high-quality development of the county's economy has been facilitated.
